Et CVR-nummer is the unique identification number that all companies in Denmark are assigned when they are registered Det Centrale Virksomhedsregister (CVR). The CVR functions as the company's "CPR number" and is used to identify the company in connection with tax, VAT, accounts and trade.
Opbygning
The CVR number consists of 8 cifre. Example: 12345678. The number is assigned chronologically, meaning that newer companies get higher numbers than older ones.

A company can have several departments or production units. Each unit is assigned one P-nummer (Production unit number), which is associated with the company's CVR number. In this way, you can distinguish between the head office and various branches.
